Where is Mikéa located?
Mikéa is located in Koundouros, South West of the island. It is a coastal area renowned for its beautiful beaches and iconic windmills.
The house spans over multiple levels and terraces with unobstructed views to a gorgeous little bay and some of Kéa’s most iconic windmills. A secret beach with cristallin water is within 3 mns walking distance. It is my favorite spot for an early morning stroll or an afternoon swim. The lovely beach club, Porto Koundouros is within 15 mns walking distance, and is the ideal place when the need for yummy cocktails arises!
Koundouros’ beaches are perfect when the Northern wind, the Meltem, is blowing. They remain nicely secluded and protected on windy days.
Meet Luigi
Luigi is Mikéa’s mascot. He is an adorable, yet very naughty beagle, who will always find a way to open the kitchen drawers and steal food. He loves to sleep on yoga mats, especially when I am practicing!
Rooms with a view
The house has unobstructed, breathtaking views to the Aegean Sea and the raw, organic surrounding nature. The studios, rooms and terraces are scattered at different locations and levels, in and around the main house. Various experiences unfold across these various spaces: solitude and silence, meditation and yoga, togetherness and conversations, fun and laughter… Challenging rigid belief systems, celebrating a better world. Together.
The secret patio
Tucked against the old stones, the secret patio is my favorite location on a quieter meditative day. This is where I have planted aromatic herbs, flowers and a magnificent blue jasmine tree. This is where I find serenity on windy days, journaling, reading, or sipping a cup of fresh ginger and lemon tea.
The crazy bougainvillea
This bougainvillea has been growing freely for the past years. It is exuberant and untamed. Its rebellious expression is the epitome of authenticity and divine expression of life. In all its glory.
It is the inspiration behind Mikéa’s pink brand expression.
The yoga & community terrace
With a 360 degrees view to the sea, and a large bamboo pergolas, the terrace expands over two levels and is the perfect spot for our daily practice, gatherings and community circles.
We designed the terrace to be multifunctional. It extends into a large dining area that can also transform in to a party and dance floor!
The meditation deck
The meditation deck is a haven of peace. Exposed to the wilderness of the surrounding panorama, and the sea, it is the perfect spot for sunset meditation and calm moments of self inquiry and reflection.
This community wall is a tribute to our indefectible friendship. Each of the objects on display are small gifts that you brought with you to the house: A special token of appreciation that you carried with you from your home country, a book that you finished reading whilst at Mikéa, a special message that you wrote etc.
The Mikéa community wall is a white canvas. An open invitation to add your story to mine. A celebration of togetherness and indelible memories.

The Bali mood at Mikéa
Bali and Ubud will always be at the heart of Mikéa. This is where, year after year, I find my inspiration, and continue learning about yoga, the innate intelligence of our bodies, and teaching yoga beyond yoga. I created a magical piece of Ubud in the lower terrace, under the bamboo pergolas, tucked against the old stones and overseeing the pink bougainvillea and the indigo Aegean horizon. This is where you hide with a cup of coffee in the morning, or take a lazy nap (with Luigi) in the afternoon.
